Snoop Dogg To Colin Kaepernick – Here’s $35K For Mothers Against Police Brutality!! — With football season winding down it’s important that we stay focused on what the real matter at hand. A lot of people have been boycotting football this whole season and it reflected in the ratings. A lot of people lost focus on the real reason Colin Kaepernick was kneeling during the national anthem. They wanted to focus on the actual kneel and not focus on the actual police brutality. Now, football is almost over and the focus is going back to the real issue.
Police brutality and rapper Snoop Dogg is putting his money where his mouth is. Colin Kaepernick’s “Million Dollar Pledge” is inching closer and closer to its goal. Thanks to Snoop Dogg, $35,000 has been donated to Mothers Against Police Brutality in Dallas, TX. Kaep’s 2016 campaign called on citizens to help donate to organizations aimed at societal change. Over that time frame, they’ve donated to over 40 different organizations.
With the goal getting closer, Kaep is kicking it into gear. On Jan. 17, the NFL free agent announced that he and 10 friends would be donating the last $100,000 over the next 10 days, which he helmed the #10for10 campaign. “It’s important to identify people doing good work in the community to help break the cycle and the systemic oppression that we are facing everyday,” he wrote on Twitter. As of press time, the total amount of donations stands at $940,000. Source
